TapHere has partnered with James Madison University to provide software development and programming services for the Madison Digital Imaging Database (MDID) project. TapHere will be improving the interoperability between installations of MDID and developing web services to make connections to other systems, including Flickr, ARTstor, and Blackboard.

James Madison University and TapHere have signed an agreement which provides a contract vehicle for Video Extraction & Encoding Services that is available to state agencies in the Commonwealth of Virginia, public higher education institutions, local governments, school boards, agencies serving local governments and non-profit, educational institutions involved with the Virtual Library of Virginia (VIVA). Under the terms of this Commonwealth of Virginia Contract, eligible agencies can utilize TapHere to extract analog or digital multimedia content from many original formats such as VHS/MPEG/DVD/DV and convert/encode to multimedia streaming formats suitable for presentation on the web or a closed network/intranet.
